Effect concept

Effect concept is a concept which is an effect for cause concept.

Example:

“Waking up” is an effect concept for “alarm” cause concept.

Effect concept and cause concept are bound by cause-effect relation.

Effect concepts show what are the probable results of a given cause concept. Therefore effect concepts are an essential part in the deliberation process. Effect concepts indicate the probable future of current context.

Example:

In the shop a person has two opportunities: to buy things or try to steal things. If the person knows that “going to jail” is a effect concept of “stealing” then most probably the person will avoid stealing things. All Intelligent Systems make decisions in a similar way.
